Library Card Contest
Guymon Public Library and Arts Center 2024 Library Card Design Contest
Calling all artists! Why do you love your library? Is it the programs? The atmosphere? The librarians? The books? Show your love and support for your local library by entering our Library Card Design Contest.
Design Requirements
- Art must be submitted digitally.
- Art must be original and free from copyright infringement.
- All media types are encouraged as long as the final submission is uploaded as a high-resolution digital image.
- Submissions created entirely with AI will not be considered.
Design Specifications
- Card size: 2 inch height x 3 1/2 inch width
- JPG, ONG, PDF or TIF with a resolution of at least 300 PPI
- Images can be either horizontal (landscape) or vertical (portrait)
- Library staff may modify winning artwork to meet production requirements.
Judging
- Cards will be selected by a special art committee.
- Judging will be based on interpretation of theme (why you love your library), appeal to a variety of age groups, library appropriateness
Submission Guidelines
- Artists 16+ are encouraged to submit
- Artist must be a resident of Guymon, Oklahoma
- One entry per person
- Winners’ names may appear in news media, social media, on the library’s website, and other communications
- Entries require a brief inspiration statement
- Participation in the contest constitutes the participant’s express consent to the use of the participant’s submitted artwork and/or photos by the Guymon Public Library without compensation or limitation or other reservation of rights by the participant. Submitted artwork becomes property of the Guymon Public Library
- Entries must be submitted via e-mail to: adult.librarian.gpl@gmail.com
- Entries must be submitted online by midnight, Monday, September 30, 2024. No late submissions will be accepted.
