Spanish Classes

Spanish Classes are offered every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. These classes are free to the public. Bring a notebook and pen or pencil.

Story Time

Story Time is September 12 – October 19, Tuesdays from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. preschool (3-4 year olds), Thursdays from 10:00 – 10:30 toddlers (1-2 year olds), and 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. babies (six – 12 months).

We will be showing the movie starring Emma Stone, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Bryce Dallas Howard following the discussion.

You do not have to have read the book to join us!

Tuesday, September 15th at 6:30 PM join us as Diana Jenkins presents Gone Quilting: an overview of quilts. Diana will be covering different types of quilts, quilt designs, and a history of quilts.  There is no cost to attend.

ESL and Citizenship Classes

ESL is now offered on Mondays from 12 to 1:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Extended Summer Reading Program

Get excited about Reading!

This summer is a great time for your children to get ahead on their reading skills, and this program can help them do that through a variety of activities. These include interactive reading, reading games, drawing a picture of a story, and much more Mondays-Thursdays, July 7th-31st, 10:00 am- 11:30 am.  For students who are going into Transitional 1st or 1st grade.  Space is limited, call 580-338-7330 for reservation.

Genealogy Workshop

Come to the Genealogy workshop offered by the Washita Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution on July 22nd 9:30 till 2:00. (Space is limited so call 580-338-7330 to reserve a spot.) You will learn how to get started and document what you find.  Learn how to use Family group sheets, Pedigree charts and DAR application forms.

Discover different types of proof including Primary documents, Secondary documents, Deeds Wills and other Court Record and Church Registers.

Learn about local resources and what’s available on the internet.

Guymon Literacy Council

The Guymon Literacy Council will meet at noon on November 27th at the Guymon Public Library & Arts Center in the conference room.  Anyone interested in Basic Literacy, Early Childhood Literacy, English as a Second Language or Citizenship is welcome to attend.
